Product details:
The Volkswagen Genuine fully electric swivelling towing bracket and vehicle-specific electrical installation kit form a complete retrofit package for vehicles that are not factory-fitted with a towing bracket preparation.

The activation document with the individual activation code enables all the interconnected control units to be fully integrated into the vehicle electronics and correctly coded. Designed to fit the vehicle perfectly, the towing bracket can be electrically extended and swivelled at the touch of a button. This ensures that trailers and carrier systems can be operated safely. After use, the ball can be positioned behind the bumper so that the towing bracket is not visible when it is no longer needed.

The vehicle-specific Volkswagen Genuine electrical installation kit (13-pin) provides the electrical supply and therefore ensures that the trailer can be operated safely. Full integration into the vehicle’s CAN-bus network is provided for all components, including support for the vehicle-trailer stabilisation system, switching to stand-by current and the adjustment of all the vehicle’s assistance systems.

An uprated dual fan is required, and for some vehicles it will need to be retrofitted at additional cost of around £1,670 dependant on your vehicles exact configuration - costs will vary, so please contact your retailer for an exact estimate.

You will need to pay special attention to:

• Before you order the fuse box you have to check the car configuration, there are several versions of the fuse box in ETKA, in reference to the car configuration. There is not one for all cars.
• At time of launch the current car configurations for Touareg require only one type of the additional bigger fans and the fan bracket, for future car configurations you also have to check these part numbers before you order these parts as they might change without prior notice.
